SafeNet Data Protection On Demand Achieves FIPS 140-2 Level 3 Certification

It’s with much excitement that we announce SafeNet Data Protection On Demand (DPoD) is now FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified. This puts Thales among an elite group of providers offering a cloud service with a FIPS validated hardware root of trust. The FIPS certification further strengthens the Thales broad range of HSM offerings, and our ability to help you choose the right Cloud HSM for your needs. Now you can select a FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified solution, with verified security. This certificate enhances a growing range of use cases from PKI to code signing, across an expanded list of integrations such as HashiCorp, and also as a root of trust for Virtual KeySecure, among others.
Please remember that if you require FIPS certification, please select FIPS mode when you deploy the relevant tile/service.
The certification is focused on Cryptovisor, the Cloud-friendly HSM architecture that is an integral component of the DPoD solution. The certificate can be found on the NIST website.
